The short version
For a US trader, Plus500 US is a genuine CFTC-regulated broker — not an offshore workaround — and it is one of the few places to trade futures and prediction-market event contracts from the same login. Costs are low and transparent (micro futures are $0.49 per side, prediction-market contracts $0.01), the entry barrier is tiny ($10), and there are no platform fees. The trade-off: it is a proprietary platform, not MetaTrader or a third-party charting suite, and prediction-market availability varies by state.
Regulation & who you trade with
US futures and prediction markets are offered by Plus500US Financial Services LLC d/b/a Plus500 (formerly Cunningham Commodities, LLC), a Futures Commission Merchant registered with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and a member of the National Futures Association (NFA ID 0001398). It is a full member of CME Group. The entity is owned by Plus500US Inc. (Delaware), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Plus500 Ltd; Plus500 Ltd — premium listing on the London Stock Exchange (PLUS), FTSE 250 constituent.
You can confirm the registration yourself: look up NFA ID 0001398 on the NFA BASIC register. The firm states it does not operate a sales desk or call center and does not offer investment advice.

Platform
Trading is on Plus500's proprietary WebTrader plus iOS and Android apps — futures and prediction markets share the one app and login. There is a free demo account with unlimited virtual funds and the same instruments and real-time quotes as a live account, so you can practise before funding. There is no MetaTrader, cTrader or third-party platform option.
How to open an account
- Apply in-platform at us.plus500.com; approval is discretionary and not all applicants qualify.
- Verify your identity — a government photo ID plus proof of address issued within the last three months.
- Fund from $10 by debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay (or $200 by wire), or start on the free demo.
- Trade futures or prediction markets from the same account.
Where the numbers get confusing
Plus500's own pages and third-party reviews disagree on two figures. For the record, here is what we publish and why:
Withdrawal fee
1.75% of the withdrawal amount (minimum $1, maximum $150), stated on Plus500's fees page. Deposits are free.
The same fees page also carries a blanket "0 fees for withdrawals" line; third-party reviews variously claim $0 or a $20 wire fee. The 1.75% figure is the specific, current one.
Minimum deposit
$10 per transaction by debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay ($200 by wire), per Plus500's fees page.
Third-party reviews claim $1, $75 or $100/$200 — all superseded by Plus500's own $10 figure.
