How we work

Editorial Desks

FX-Brokers is a multi-region editorial publication covering regulated forex and CFD brokers across Europe, the UK, and Asia. Each region has its own desk because the regulations, regulators, and country-specific rules genuinely differ.

Editorial Transparency

We believe trust is earned through transparency, so here is exactly how this operation runs.

FX-Brokers is owned and operated by Alex Marchetti, working from Cyprus. The site is a small editorial publication, not a multi-person newsroom. The named editorial bylines on this site represent the three functional desksthe operation runs as — Markets, Platforms & Technology, and EU Regulation — rather than three distinct individuals each independently writing 30+ articles a month.

Each desk pools research from the founder, external regulator filings, broker primary sources (KID documents, T&Cs, regulator registers), and direct broker testing where applicable. Every published review and guide passes through the founder before going live. The methodology behind broker scores is documented openly at /methodology.

We earn affiliate commissions from some brokers listed. This relationship is disclosed on every page that contains an affiliate link, and our scoring methodology is independent of commercial relationships — a broker that pays us higher commissions does not rank higher. See /editorial-independence for the full statement.

Note on bylines

The editor of FX-Brokers writes under the pseudonym Alex Marchettiwhile maintaining a separate professional career in finance. The pseudonym is consistent across all published content. Editorial oversight, fact-checking, and methodology are real and traceable; only the editor’s legal name is withheld. This arrangement protects against conflict-of-interest exposure and preserves editorial independence from any past or current employer. Should the editor’s circumstances change, this disclosure will be updated. Contact us at info@fx-brokers.eu for editorial questions.

Editorial standards

  • Compliance linter is build-blocking. Source files containing the regulator-flagged marketing phrases under ESMA / FCA / BaFin / CySEC marketing rules fail the prebuild step. The same linter gates social posts before they reach review.
  • Affiliate disclosure on every page containing an affiliate link. Auto-injected by the compliance linter where missing.
  • "Last verified" date on every broker review and Q&A page. Refreshed quarterly through a documented review cycle ( see methodology).
  • Methodology open-sourced. Every broker's 8-dimension score links back to /methodology with weighted categories disclosed.
  • Founder review on publication. No automated content publishes to the live site without passing through founder review. Daily content automation generates drafts, never direct-publishes.
  • No paid placements. A broker that pays us higher commissions does not rank higher. Scoring is independent of commercial relationships.
